The Collective
Punk Island is a collective of artists, curators, musicians, and educators whose goal is to bring the vitality, diversity, and intensity of the DIY punk community into the light of day.
The collective works together to produce the annual Punk Island Music and Zine Festival as well as a variety of programming year round. The collective defines “Punk” as not as a genre but a culture that is rooted in DIY ethics and freedom of expression.

Make Music New York is New York City’s only music festival for the people and by the people!
Gilligan/Capacitor Records
Founded at the first Punk Island by Pete Crotty of the band NCM. The Gilligan Stage has been in collaboration with Capacitor Records since 2014 to bring punks from all corners of the scene together.
Crystal Moon Public Relations
Crystal Moon Public Relations is a Mexican American–owned boutique PR agency rooted in the DIY and underground music community, with deep ties to New York’s punk scene. Founded by Arlene “Telly” Vivar-Beairsto, the agency works closely with initiatives like Punk Island to amplify artists and create accessible, community-driven spaces. Crystal Moon PR blends grassroots promotion, strategic media outreach, and cultural storytelling to connect artists with audiences in an authentic and impactful way.
